#1 Amon Amarth
A band that definitely can’t be missed at MetalDays: Amon amarth. On the music of this melodic Viking metal band from Sweden you can march all the way to Tolmin. These 5 musicians will set MetalDays on fire!
#2 Paradise Lost
Maybe you know them, one of the big three. Paradise Lost was together with My Dying Bride and Anathema the top of the death/doom-metal scene. By now the band exists longer than 30 years and that makes them sound stronger than ever. With their newest album from 2020: Obsidian they will turn MetalDays into a true success.
Een ware componist die alles mixt wat hij wilt. Om het uit te leggen kun je hem beter voor zichzelf laten spreken: A true componist who mixes everything he wants. To clarify, we’ll let him explain what this means: “I just want to make the music I love, without asking myself if it’s gonna be too complex or too far from what people like. I want to make the music which has sense to me, with no restrictions, like a big party with metalheads, electronics nerds, classical and baroque-heads and gypsy violinists getting drunk and joining together to bring the best of every genre.” — Gautier Serre. So…
With their first album in 2015 they grew out to be a true success. This Ukrainian black/death metal band with black doom influences is in 2022 high on our list. You can expect a lot of First World War thematic music because their songs are inspired on their name: 1914.
#5 Jinjer (must see)
The Ukrainian band Jinjer is one of our own favourites and should definitely not be missed at MetalDays. A singer with an enormous vocal range, beautiful basslines, contrasts, tranquility and hustle and bustle. Listen below why Jinjer makes such an impression!
