Splash! festival takes place on Ferropolis, an East German peninsula. It is close to Berlin, so you can easily add another road trip to it. The festival is characterized by an old industrial style, including giant excavators. At night, the entire area is illuminated in the most beautiful colors, so that you really feel like you are in another world.

Besides the fact that this industrial site is really something Splash! makes it unique, there is another huge advantage: water. And not water to drink, but the gigantic lake in which the island is located. Lake Gremmin is surrounded by green trees which makes the whole location even more beautiful. Here you can float in the water with your inflatable crocodile (or like a real influencer with a unicorn) all day long. This is nice, because the temperatures at Splash! are usually around 30 degrees. It’s nice to cool off every now and then.

At Splash! you can do your own thing, whatever you like. Dance at the mainstage, jump into the lake for a refreshing night dive or get lost in the woods all night long. Endless possibilities! There are many more tips for Splash!.

In terms of food you have on Splash! nothing to complain. The food may not be worthy of a Michelin star, but certainly good in festival terms. Everything is offered: from European, Asian, American to a lot of German. Fortunately, there is also plenty to choose from for the vegetarians among us. In addition to a varied selection, you also have the chance to eat falafel every day, because yes; what’s better than falafel? The one from Splash! seems to be exceptionally good.

Besides the food, there is another important point in the spotlight: the beer.  Beer at Splash! is exceptionally cheap. What more do you want now? Fortunately, the festival is cashless and you won’t even realize that you bought €400 worth of drinks for your friends at the end of the festival. Take care of later!
