Transport to Melt: this is how you get there

What: Transport to Melt Festival / Where: Ferropolis, Germany / When: 8 – 11 June 2023 / Genre: Techno, Electronic, House, Pop, Hip Hop

All your options for transportation to Melt in one overview. From plane to car and from affordable to expensive. Do you already know how to travel to Melt?

The home of this festival is Ferropolis, a peninsula in Lake Gremmin. Melt is also called the steel city, because of the huge cranes and structures that are at Ferropolis. Curious about what Melt has to offer? Read our blog about all the reasons why Melt should not be missed. Are you already convinced (just like we are!) and would you like to know how to get there? Continue reading!

The impressive Ferropolis is Melt’s decor!

Transport to Melt Festival by AIRPLANE

Travelling by plane is one of the options to travel to Melt if you have to come from far. Dreamy above the clouds listening to some of your favourite artists; that sounds super comfortable, of course. But flying isn’t very sustainable and tickets can get quite expensive during the summer!

Travelling by plane might seem fast, but you have to keep in mind that the journey to the airport itself and the waiting at the gate also takes quite some time. However, Ferropolis is just an hour drive from Berlin. Check out our festival shuttles from Berlin and Leipzig to Melt which will take you from this German capital to the entrance of Melt!

Transport to Melt Festival by CAR

The car is certainly a good option for those who like a road trip. If you travel by car you can take your inflatable horn, sound system and air bed with you. Calculate in advance how much you will spend on fuel and toll costs, which can add up considerably. Don’t forget to include the costs of your return trip either ;).

Not everyone is used to being behind the wheel for a long time, so be fair about who will be driving when. Don’t forget to make sure that all the alcohol (etc.) is out of your system on the return journey of the festival! Drive safely and make sure you are well rested.

Transport to Melt Festival by BUS

Are you looking for a sustainable, affordable and fun means of transport to Melt Festival? Then the Maximal bus is the perfect means of transportation to Ferropolis. You can always be sure that you are travelling with your friends, even if you don’t book your tickets at the same time and you can already start partying because of course you don’t have to drive… Or stress about catching your plane. What is also useful is that you will be dropped off in front of the entrance to the festival. No more trouble with overcrowded, sweaty shuttle buses. You save time and you have no extra travel costs.

In addition, travelling by bus is super sustainable! A bus saves about 30 cars on the road and reduces traffic jams, thus reducing CO2 emissions into the air. The perfect means of transport for the eco-friendly ones among us and sustainable does not have to cost a lot in this case. After all, the Maximal bus trip is super affordable!

The festival starts in the bus! You are guaranteed to meet all your new festival friends here. Music, beer and fun: what more could you ask for? Find out more information about the bus trip to Melt!

Transport to Melt Festival by TRAIN

Travelling by train might be the perfect option for you if flying to Ferropolis is too expensive and you don’t want to drive yourself. The train may take a few hours, but you can relax and look out the window. You also get plenty of exercise, especially if you have to run to catch your train.

However, you don’t arrive directly at Melt, and it’s still quite a distance from the station to Ferropolis. You can find out how to get there on the Melt website. It might not seem that far, but don’t forget that you probably have a lot of stuff with you.
